A Welcome Message

We consider it a great honor and joy to be with you this year. Our theme focuses on the Bible. As Christians, we remember that the Holy Scripture was at the very center of Jesus’ ministry. And we know that the Holy Spirit inspired the prophetic witness of the Old Testament and the apostolic testimony of the New Testament.

God provided this particular revelation for His church to have for all ages. Indeed for 2000 years, the church has deemed God’s Word to be necessary and sufficient for our salvation and for growth in Christ. At different points in church history, the return to God’s Word reformed and edified the church, as it did during the Protestant Reformation. Thus, as we consider the Reformation era and as we long for personal and corporate renewal in the church today, it is to the Bible that we should always return.

Thank you for inviting us to your beautiful country! We are humbled to be in your midst. We are eager to learn with you and from you. No doubt our midwestern American accents will remind you that we are all working cross-culturally. This can be a blessing to us all. The extra effort we all use to gain understanding from one another can lead to much deeper learning. We are grateful for the time to fellowship together with you.

Yours in Christ, David & Tasha Chapman
