The Need for Reformation

Look at how far the protestant reformation has come. The heresies of those ages are still present today, albeit more subtly and in the form that is more subsumed in our cultures.

Especially in Singapore, where efficiency and productivity are regarded highly, churches may veer towards the extreme of human agencies in the areas of salvation, like making the worship segments more emotional or placing too much emphasis on the works of members as proof of the fruits of the Spirit.

What the reformation allows us to do as Christians today, is to reexamine and reevaluate practices that we are doing and based them upon the teachings in the Bible. With these in mind, may we be encouraged to take the bold step in firstly reforming our lives and our churches.
